A Summer Squash

Besides flying visits to water the plants, I’ve not spent much time at the allotment of late. I popped in today and was pleased to see what I thought was the beginnings of a short, fat, round courgette. Now I’m back home and looking at the pictures, I think it’s more likely to be a squash.

It was another flying visit, but I did end up picking my first ever harvest. I got potatoes (two varieties, one pink, one white), some garlic (still a bit small), broad beans, and a few runner beans. Yay!
